Whether your kids love arts and crafts, sporting events, having fun in the great outdoors, or attending a show, you’ll find ideas for any day of the week in its online calendar.

Here are Rockland Parent’s top picks for family fun in February:

Learn to Draw Mickey & Minnie

Visit the Disney Store located on Level 3 of Palisades Center for artistic fun featuring the favorite characters who started it all!  Palisades Center, West Nyack, NY: Saturday, Feb. 1, 8, & 15.

Animal Ambassador of the Month

The Tenafly Nature Center is home to several scaly, furry, and feathery animals, and each month the center chooses one to feature! Kids can meet the animal ambassador of the month, learn about and celebrate the selected animal and its importance in nature. Tenafly Nature Center, Tenafly, NJ: Saturday, Feb. 1.

Dinosaur World Live!

Explore the prehistoric world of remarkably life-like dinosaurs in this interactive show for the family. Meet a variety of impressive creatures, including the T. rex, triceratops, microraptor, and segnosaurus. And with an optional meet and greet after the show, kids can snap a pic with their favorite dino! Bergen Performing Arts Center, Englewood, NJ: Sunday, Feb. 9.

Jeff Boyer’s Big Bubble Bonanza

See the zany, Guinness Book of World Records-holding master bubble wrangler Jeff Boyer as he takes bubbles to the max. We’re talking rainbow bubbles with people inside them, volcano bubbles, and more! Bonus: This is a sensory-friendly show, with a relaxed inclusive environment designed to accommodate individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The Old Nyack High School Auditorium, Nyack: Sunday, Feb. 16.

Maple Sugaring

Ever wonder how 100%-pure maple syrup is made? Learn how to identify a maple tree, then head outside to tap a tree, boil down sap to make maple syrup, and have a taste of the sweet treat. The Nature Place Day Camp, Chestnut Ridge: Saturday, Feb. 29.

Family Ice-Skating

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, nothing says classic winter fun like an afternoon of ice-skating followed by hot cocoa! So, break out your skates or rent a pair for the day, and take a few laps with your kids. Palisades Center Ice Rink, Palisades: year-round; see website for schedule. Bear Mountain Ice Rink, Bear Mountain: through March 1; see website for schedule.
