The smell of fresh baked cookies on Level Three will lead you straight to Great American Cookies. One of our newest entrepreneurs, Jamie Arkley, opened his Great American Cookies shop in July and it’s been a whirlwind ever since.

Jamie grew up in London, England and moved to the states in 2002. He spent over a decade working in and around Palisades Center. The fond memories he had of the Great American Cookies brand and a casual dinner conversation prompted his decision to open the franchise at Palisades Center. He knew Palisades Center needed a cookie place, and a Great American Cookies store would be the perfect fit.

In addition to selling dozens of individual cookie varieties and flavors, Great American Cookies delights with their decorated cookie cakes, from twelve-inch rounds to large pan sized cakes, and more!

The response from Rockland County residents has been overwhelming. “The most rewarding part so far is making other people happy,” said Jamie. “In a short time, we’ve been a part of so many special occasions, heard so many people’s stories, and brought back childhood memories.”

Opening the Great American Cookies store was one of Jamie’s most challenging endeavors. His advice for entrepreneurs is to remember that nothing is impossible, and you must always remember to never give up on your dreams.
