Palisades Center’s American Eagle Coordinates School Supply Drive to Benefit Nyack Center

Palisades Center’s American Eagle Outfitters®, a leading global specialty retailer offering high-quality, on-trend clothing, accessories and personal care products at affordable prices, is holding a School Supply Drive to benefit Nyack Center. Nyack Center serves the Nyacks and the larger community of Rockland County, New York by supporting children, youth and families through educational and recreational programs.

“Giving back to the community is important to the Palisades Center team,” said Darrin Houseman, General Manager of Palisades Center. “The businesses within Palisades Center follow our lead, frequently partnering with non-profit organizations to benefit the local community. American Eagle’s partnership with Nyack Center is a perfect example.”

“At American Eagle we believe we have a responsibility to do better,” said Beatriz Campos, Store Manager of American Eagle. “We support causes that empower youth and are proud to help Nyack Center because they are making a real difference for the children in our community.”

“It is through partnerships like this one with Palisades Center’s American Eagle that Nyack Center is able to be the lowest cost before and after school care in the Hudson Valley region,” said Kim Cross, Executive Director of Nyack Center. “Most of our children are from working families whose income is at or below the Federal Income Guidelines for Poverty. Please donate so that all our community children can have the tools to succeed in school.”

The following items are being collected now through September 5 at American Eagle, located on Level Two at Palisades Center:

  • Backpacks
  • One-subject notebooks
  • Composition notebooks
  • Pocket folders
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Crayons
  • Colored markers
  • Highlighters
  • Post-it notes
  • Three-ring binders
  • Loose-leaf paper

The donations collected will be given to children in need to ensure they have the proper school supplies at the start of the school year.  People making a school supply donation will receive 20% off their purchase at Palisades Center’s American Eagle.
