Women of Palisades Center: Julia

Julia is the Beauty Sales Supervisor at Victoria’s Secret. For years, Victoria’s Secret has been offering Palisades Center’s guests a wide array of modern, fashion-inspired collections including signature bras, panties, lingerie, casual sleepwear, and athleisure, as well as award-winning prestige fragrances and body care.

Victoria’s Secret prides itself on excellent customer service, one of Julia’s favorite aspects of the job. Julia has a way of inspiring and uplifting every customer, always helping them feel confident and beautiful.

Although the Victoria’s Secret and PINK brands are known for lingerie, personal care, beauty products, and accessories, their brand power extends much further.  The company believes in getting involved in the communities where they do business and focusing on making a positive difference in the lives of their associates and customers. Victoria’s Secret has supported many national and local community organizations including the National Urban League, YMCA, Feeding America, and The American Red Cross, allowing employees to be a part of each cause to further help their local communities.

Julia embodies leadership and volunteerism in her local community of Haverstraw. She was the former President of the United Latin Festival and currently serves as the Director of Casa De La Cultura, an organization with a mission to make arts and literacy accessible and affordable. She facilitates an after-school dance club for kids of all ages and offers modeling classes, pageant preparations, and Zumba fitness classes at no cost to the community.

Julia’s advice to women working in retail is to always try and learn all you can about the company you are employed in. Understanding your organization’s culture will result in a better work ethic and pride in being a positive force at work. She reminds people that bad days will happen, but never stop being optimistic and willing to help. Most importantly, have fun because work is what you make it!

Victoria’s Secret is located on Level One.
