Giving back to the community we serve is incredibly important to Palisades Center. We partner with hundreds of local non-profit organizations each year to promote their events and raise awareness for their causes.
In honor of Pride Month, we are pleased to introduce our local LGBTQ+ non-profit partners:
PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. The Rockland County Chapter offers a variety of services and events including a support group that meets twice a month for parents, family, friends, and allies of the LGBTQ +community. In addition, throughout the month of June, Rockland PFLAG will host author events and a Pride Pebble Workshop. For more information and updates, follow Rockland PFLAG on Facebook.
The Rockland County Pride Center is a 501(c)(3) LGBTQ+ organization with an anti-racist, social justice mission. Their purpose is to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, challenge stereotypes and practices that adversely impact Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer people, and provide a wide range of services to ensure equitable resources and opportunities for all – with no exceptions. In addition to their on-going support groups, they hold annual events like Pride Sunday and Pride Ball, and offer a Pride Directory of LGBTQ+ businesses, services, and community organizations.
