Palisades Center will host the Rockland Cultural Steelband Organization’s (ROCKSO) EKKquinox Steel Band for their annual Christmas Rocks with EKKquinox concert. The performances will take place on Saturday, December 14 and 21 in the West Court on Level One near Best Buy from 12:00-8:00pm.
The EKKquinox Steel Band is Rockland County’s only Caribbean steel drum orchestra. Under the direction of band founder and Trinidadian native, Richard Nathan, the band consists of two dozen young individuals united through their love for music and steel drums. The band is known for its impeccable delivery of Caribbean style Christmas carols and features its very own Santa Claus who ensures that a good time is had by all. The event has become a holiday staple for Palisades Center and ranks among the top three most viewed posts on the Center’s social media platforms for 2018.
