Palisades Center is proud to announce its collaboration with Rockland Works, the Workforce Development Board of Rockland County, Adult Career and Continuing Education Services, and Jawonio to host the Diverse Abilities Job Fair. This free event will take place on Tuesday, March 26, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, on Level Four of Palisades Center, connecting residents with disabilities with locally hiring businesses and resource organizations.
The Diverse Abilities Job Fair bridges the gap between individuals with disabilities and potential employers, fostering inclusivity and diversity in the workforce. Attendees can schedule one-on-one screening interviews with hiring representatives from various companies, providing them with a direct pathway to employment. Additionally, participants can visit the Resume Clinic, where they will receive professional guidance on resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profile development, empowering them to effectively present their skills and experiences.
In addition to connecting job seekers with employers, the Diverse Abilities Job Fair will feature a Resource Row, where attendees can speak with local agencies providing services and support tailored to individuals with disabilities. From vocational training to accessibility resources, attendees will have access to a wealth of information to support their career goals.
Registered participants can also attend a Pre-Interview Workshop, which will equip them with valuable insights and tips for excelling in their upcoming interviews.
