More than 40 food and beverage businesses at Palisades Center, representing over 600 employees at the center, are demanding fairness and quick action from New York State in allowing them to re-open immediately alongside all restaurants as part of the Phase Three re-opening.

Despite carefully following the phased approach outlined by the State on May 4th and investing significantly in new safety and social distancing protocols, in addition to meeting all local and national health and safety metrics, these businesses and their employees are in serious jeopardy at a critical juncture in our State’s recovery.

“At Palisades Center, restaurants represent many businesses and employees who are residents within our community. Our staff of five employees along with our entire management team must get back to work in order to provide for themselves and their families,” said Jill Feldman Owner of Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Shoppe. “We shouldn’t be penalized and not allowed to open simply because we don’t have an external entrance.”

“Everyone at Blu Alehouse is eager to get back to work and looking forward to welcoming our customers back safety,” said Anastasia Gianopoulos, Owner of Blu Alehouse. “An opening date is critical to help us solidify our reopening timeline.”

The following Palisades Center food and beverage businesses stand ready to re-open following State guidance:
